Our show isn't until the 7th July - so we still have a month or so to go on this one! Your project sounds really interesting - do you have any advice for us?
thanks for your message. Sounds interesting! Can you tell me more details via mail, please? christina.behr@yahoo.de
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Hi David,
Thanks for the message. Your project sounds very interesting. 'Sakura' looks very sweet. I would definitely like to get in touch with you if I have a chance working on my project more often. Hope to hear how your project goes in Japan. Good luck. Maki
That sounds really interesting. We are looking to hold a design competition very soon at A Suit That Fits.com so I will keep you updated on our progress. Please let me know you email address and I will be intouch ASAP.
thanks for your message yesterday, yes I'm open to chatting about different opportunities. I'm focusing on getting my accessories business going but would be open to smaller projects here and there. Do you have a project in mind? I have mainly leather background, men's women's accessories but have designed a lot of prints and soft accessories over the last few years - I'm trying to figure out how to upload stuff so people can see what I have designed until now but still figuring it out. Let me know if there is a good way to send pics etc - Bella
Hi David, I just sent you an email to your yahoo address with some photos of past work. I decided not to include pictures on this site for now as I am designing new things and past work has not been produced according to sustainable principles unfortunately. It will all change as I am determined to never work for someone or a company that isn't concerned with ethical practises. - chat soon Bella
Excellent,
I am going to London at the end of the month and am hooking up with some of my Fashioning the Future Summit '08 connections. One of the student designers received a grant to have her line produced in Africa....and she did. This is all good news because in 3 point sustainability it is social justice, economic sustainability and ecological balance.
In order to really change the outcome at this point in time our fundamental "one ness" has to get more airtime!
I will check out your fabrics as i am right now answering a call for a show here in Seattle and am all about name dropping to help ethical entrepreneurs; especially the artsy ones!
my email is queeny.tai@hongkong.messefrankfurt.com, please send me a bit more details. And I wanna know more about "four season" range too.
The fairs that I am organising is Interstoff Asia Essential in Hong Kong, Intertexile Shanghai Apparel Textiles. You can visit my company web site, www.messefrankfurt.com for more details about the show.
David, I really appreciate your post. My email address is as follows: brit.bound.03@gmail.com, I would love for you to send me the photos and background on the Marine Corps Tartan...
By all means, keep me updated on the latest and greatest... Thank you in advance

Hello,
I'm quite new to this forum so just finding my feet. Thank you for the heads up with the cotton. Although do you know of any small family businesses in the UK that are suppliers of eco fabrics?
Thank You
Katie
Hey there! thanks for you comment. Send a cow is always looking for new ways to raise funds, would you be able to tell me a little more about it. Thanks again David :-)
Thanks for your message, I am definately considering going back out to SA - the company I was with before would like me to come back out there. Do you know when roughly the show would be in March? Be interested to know a bit more about your company, if you have any information please do send it through to my email hannah@hannah-j.com and in the meantime I will check your website.
If you have any news, events or information you want to share, please start discussions and engage in dialogue.
Ethical Fashion Forum is trying to build this network to encompass all those interested in sustainable production in Africa, so please encourage interested people to join!
Hi David - we primarily do knitted fabrics / garments (jerseys, piques, rib, interlock). Our factory also makes traditional East African wraps / fabrics like Maasai Blankets, Kangas and Kitenges. What were you looking for exactly?
I will be at the event in London on 23rd of June if you want to talk then, sometimes it is easier to explain in person. However for the meantime, I specialize in digital design for online experiences, online marketing strategy (including social media marketing), and usability - i.e. making sure sites and interfaces are EXTREMELY user-friendly and intuitive. I combine the psychological and socio-cultural side with the technology side. What kind of business are you looking to promote?
I'm at becky@beckyburd.com if you'd like to talk more over email.
Im a Fashion Designer by profession and i plan to do my MA in "Design Management for Fashion Industries" from London College of Fashion this fall.
My research will mainly be in Ethical Fashion and Sustainable business practices. I was hoping to build contacts here. Can we be friends?
what a fantastic vision and cause. I often have the same conversation, The continent has so much to offer and yet it's sold short at every turn. How could people assist or get involved? Are there specific projects that are happening that could benefit from the involvement of designers? Perhaps there's scope to work with you on one our projects to raise the profile of the cause?
How would I get a hold of the fabric, I love tartans and checks, I always use them in some variation in my collections, you can e-mail me on info@un-told.co.uk. I'm also thinking that perhaps there would be a way of incoporating this into next years Fashion Diversity student project brief as a theme... Is there a broader range?
hello David, thanks for getting in touch. Just checked and my website should be working fine :) At the moment I specialise in eveningwear, but will definitely be in contact if I will be using tartans in any of my upcoming collections!
Hi David, Good to know that you are now looking to produce fabric in India. We will be very interested in producing it for you. Please let me have the details and quantity. Warm regards shailini. you can email me on shailini@moiralfibre-fabrics.com.
Hi David,
What kind of producers are you interested in from Kenya? Do let me know as we have access to a good number working in a variety of materials.
