Originally from Japan. Moved to live in UK 1994 and now work as a pattern cutter in London. Have interests in art and design.
Career history / Company history:
Half a year of internship as an assistant pattern cutter at Hussein Chalayan, 2 and a half years of full-time pattern cutting role at high street company then became a freelance pattern cutter in 2007.

    Hi Maki, you may be interested in our Japanese project. At the moment we use ethically produced wool but will be adding cotton in due course. The project involves four designs: sakura, chou chou, kiku and nihon - spring, summer, autumn and winter which we call 'The Four Seasons' range. We have just finished a joint venture with Gray's School of Art and hope to take the ir outfits to a show in Japan in the autumn. If you look at the pics on my profile you will see the sakura.
