Hi David,
II am sorry I did not see your mail before. please tell me more about what you are looking for and i might be able to help. Please visit our website to see some of what we do.
Hi David!
Yes we can. Our main business is doing collection for others. We deal in knits organically grown and conventional, and woven materials.
You can check what we are doing under www.dwp-rv.de, or lamulamu.de or one-way
Hi David,
Very interested and inspired by your work. We have an industry event coming up on the 21st April in London on sourcing from co-operatives and would love to offer you a table to promote what you do. If as you are based in Edinburgh this is not possible, can you send some literature and samples? There will certainly be a lot of interest in working with you. We have a resource centre here at Richmix where we can keep and showcase your samples.
Warmest welcome to the network.
Hello, thank you for your note. Do you provide finished product or, do you simply sell your tartans for use in design projects? As I am not working in the textile industry, I am not sure if I can help but can certainly pass on your coordinates to the designers that I work with. Let me know and warm regards, Melora.
Hi David,
I am an architect too! I worked on green architecture and energy efficiency in building designs as well as conservation and community based projects. With an interesting turn of events I started MOLRALFIBRE last year developing and promoting green, ethical and sustainable fabrics!!
Very interesting. I think I would really only be able to help out with your finished collection so, would be happy to review it. Do you have images or a website (or are the images included in your profile of your collection)?
Hi David, sorry being late with my answer. Actually I was pretty busy getting my last organic cotton (GOTS) lot in. Anyway, I am looking forward to hearing your ideas and may contribute accordingly. Feel free to drop me some lines up front to sabine@kiboko.co.ke
I will be back in the office after Easter holidays. Regards Sabine
That shouldnt be a problem David.. After this easter weeknd I'll contact the guys who can do it and get back to you.
1.How much fabric will you need and how soon?
2.will you be needing them on a regular basis? If it's larger quantities we can get them done in India.
Thanks for getting touch. Your projects look very interesting as well, great designs. I would be interested to hear more about your work in India especially.
David yes of course.
we ship soleRebels to major retailers around the world including amazon, endless, urban outfitters
you can contact me at rootsculturetires@gmail.com and detail your needs, who you are-retailer, distributor etc and we can proceed from there

Hey David,
Patricia Keilthy here from ireland...thanks for leaving a comment...unfortunately was unable to open it and have lost same since!!!! You can tell am not up to speed with this forum format. Could you re send???
Thanks,
Appreciate it,
Patricia
Hi David,
Thanks for getting back to me on that. i am in the early stages of developing an intrroductary module on ethical/sustainable fashion for the department, so am open to all input at the moment. The plan is to have it in place for next academic year, and hopefully grow it from there!!!
\will keep you in the loop, Patricia
Thank you for your message.
When I was in my university, I stayed Stirling University for a half year. So Edinburgh is one of my memorial spot.
Please let me know when the project come to Tokyo.
Many thanks for your message. I am in the early stages of researching whats best to do ie import / manufacture etc. Lets keep talking and I am sure the way will become clearer for me soon.
Hi David,
I have just come back from India.. sorry was very busy to reply sooner.
I have visited the websites you suggested - would love to be involved.
I have spoken to Matt my graphic designer and he says he can easily print samples on cotton fabric.
Hi david,
the project sounds really exciting! were you thinking of me in terms of printing the scarves or designing them? Would be great to do some kind of a collaboration?
Hello! thanks for your message. I'm going to have a close look at your website.
My main issue right now is sourcing ethical fabrics. I have had success in searching certain suppliers. I was wandering if you knew of any ethical organisations other than the usual route of business gate way, that would assist with grants or advise.
Also what do you think about aquiring fabric rolls that are thrown away by companies as part of ethical fashion? If i can find local scottish factories there may be some rolls wasted, though i have the feeling they would charge me rather than simply give it away.
Sorry for all the questions! i honestly appreciate you getting in touch.
Hi David, the first step is to think what is a "brazilian theme" , what´s the brazilian spirit?
Our country is on fashion with its colorful hapiness, nature and inspiration. The brazilian way of life is being reconized worldwide. I´m particulary interested in work with comunities and artcrafts using ecological parameters. As I did in my last collections. But I don´t have a label yet, I´m researching for it, my main work by now is teach in the university in são paulo.
Hi thanks for your message. What kind of work do you do with students and ethical fashion? I am really interested to get involved. Also where are you based?
Sorry for not getting back to you, I have been very busy but I will be fully staffed from next week and able to begin researching links between the groups and designers in the UK.
The skills of the groups I work with are embroidery, batik, block printing and silk screen.
I really want to adapt the groups traditional skills to clothing/textiles. I will be in touch again soon.
kind regards,
Siobhan
Hey David. That sounds awesome, I see you're based in Edinburgh, I will be in London in June, it may be well worth it to meet and chat more. I couldn't access your pics though, but I will try again. You can text/ring me in SA if you prefer: +27849910081.
This is fascinating. We have done work with TOMS Shoes in helping them to expand their business. I also was previously at ESPN.com. It would be great to have a phone call with you to share more of my background. You can find my contact information at my blog at www.sparxoo.com and e-mail me directly.
Yes I'm sure they could - if you give me your contact details I can get our designer who is more 'in the know' to get in touch and she can give you advice on what we can and can't do
David,
Thanks for your interest. At the present time I have not yet put up a website.
I feel that Canada is just getting on the band-wagon. I need more collections to build that reputation as "Canada's leader in wholesaling eco-friendly fashions.
Can you help me?
Allan
Hi, My range is a " life style range" covering clothing, bedlinen, towelling, home wares and gifts. As you can see this is quite wide but all with an ethical provenance and much of it is organic. The textiles are mainly is organic cotton and bamboo.
Vicky
No issues with wool David - some 'fab UK brands (e.g. Izzy Lane) and zQue certified / traceable wool from NZ - Karen Cole and howies both advocates - shame we can't stock hp
howies any more, but you'll find Karen's designs at Adili
Hi David,
We do have wool in the library. Are you a supplier or manufacturer of
organic wools? If so, we should talk about adding your wool qualities
to the library.

Hi David,
Thanks for your message. Interested in hearing more about what you're doing - yes! Do you have a website? Or could you tell me a bit more about your approach and how you're putting it into practice?
Thanks, Claire
PS yes a friend of Helen's! You'll find Jonnie Horner on here too, he's also part of our group
hi david!
so basically im analizing a bunch of brands, focused on how producing with organic cotton or any kind of organic / natural material impacts on the whole value chain, starting from relationships with suppliers up to marketing and distribution.
my final goal is to determine wether this new ethical trend (can we say its just a trend? or something is really changing?) will lead companies toward a new source of competitive advantage or not.
if youre interested in it or just have some material i might use, please let me know!
thanks, silvia
Hi David, thanks for your message. I'm mainly interested in plain woven fabrics (cotton, silk and wool), do you supply those too? Or just tartans? Thanks, Emesha
Hi David, many thanks for your message. The idea of a tartan specific to a country is very interesting, would like to hear more about how this idea came about and how you are working to produce each tartan its associated country- thats very inspired! Also, why tartan? My research is in its formative stages, would be great to be in touch. All the best, Phyllida
Thanks for the message. At the moment I'm not designing/ printing my own fabrics, however as a development it is certainly something that I'm looking to do. Your tartan projects sound really interesting, would love to find out some more.
Thanks,
Hugo
That's really interesting. I've got a meeting over lunch but perhaps I can give you a call this afternoon so I can tell a little more about what I'm up to and discuss further? Can I use the mobile number from your site? Thanks, H
