Hi all.

I'm working with a couple of new projects which are looking for producers who are able to produce high-quality products in collaboration with high-end designers.

Designs and product development assistance will be provided, but suppliers must be able to produce to a high quality.

Products can be clothes, accessories or trims.

Producers should have an ethical/environmental focus: i.e. fairtrade, sustainable development, women empowerment, craft preservation, using environmentally friendly materials, etc.

We will be visiting suppliers in the next few months so please get in touch asap!

If you are interested or want to know more, please contact me: nicola.thornley@googlemail.com.

This September I will be launching my ethical womenswear label MAIYA and via my website I would like to stock complementary ethical/eco accessory collections.

Here is a bit about me... For 3 years I co-designed/directed the ethical womenswear label si:su with two friends; had a great time/success with UK and European stockists/buyers and showed at The Ethical Fashion Show in Paris and Clothes Show Live in Birmingham NEC amongst others. We've decide to go our separate ways now and because womenswear was always my passion, I'm in the process on setting up my own label.

I'm going to launch the site this summer (and my label for S/S 2012), I am keen to chat to designers and organise the accessory labels that I plan to promote through my website now.

My label will have a vintage feel with a modern twist. My main inspirations come from the 40s and the 80s.

Do you have any UK distribution deals or retail stockists currently? Could you email me any wholesale and/or distribution agent information/prices/pdf catalogues you have for your collections please.

Initially, I am looking to run trial periods of two fashion seasons/collections with my chosen external jewellery/accessories labels - via drop shipping.

I will also be looking to borrow pieces for a shoot early summer this year - both to use to style my outfits and create new photos of your collections for use on my website. Although, if you have your own photographs then I will consider using them for promo.

Email me at maiyafashion@gmail.com or add me on here.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Helen

Hi, I thought I would let you know about the Isaan Cushion Company.

We are a manufacturer of high quality cushion covers and pillow covers, made from locally sourced silk and cotton fabric.

We sell our own brand and also offer OEM and Buyer Label manufacturing to companies.

We offer employment and training opportunities to people in the Isaan area of Thailand. We are also pioneering a new business model called the hybrid co-operative.

We are looking for shops who wish to sell our cushion covers and business's and individuals that would like cushion covers in their own brand.

Hi there,

As a group interested in ethical and sustainable accessories, I thought you might be interested in a FREE screening of the film Red Gold which looks at how a new gold and copper mine is being proposed for Bristol Bay, Alaska, but which jewellers and anglers, along with 80% of the local population are saying no to.

You're all welcome to come and watch the film, hear from Alaska Natives who will be in London, and join us for a drinks reception.

Time: 7-9pm
Date: Thursday 4th November
Place: Frontline Club, 13 Norfolk Place, London W2 1QJ
Closest Tube Station: Paddington

RSVP: LPearce[at]earthworksaction.org

Thanks for your time,
Lucy

Hi everyone,

We are delighted to be taking part again in the Ethical Fashion Source Expo this year. It is a really fantastic event! I really encourage everyone to try to make it, whether you have something to exhibit or as a visitor to the show.

Also, we recently re-launched our online eco-boutique:

Take a look and let us know what you think!!!

Dear All,

I am currently in the process of looking for suitable, complementary ethical jewellery and accessories collections to sell through my planned website for the rebranded si:su ethical fashion label and for distribution throughout the UK.

I am launching my womenswear label (organic/fair trade materials) for Autumn/Winter 2011 and will put finances into marketing and promotion of my label/website and promoting the complementary products stocked by me.

To any non UK based designers - I would like to discuss acting as your UK distribution agent. Please send me information about your wholesale/recommended retail prices/distribution commission. Initially, I am looking to run trial periods of one fashion season/collection with my chosen external jewellery/accessories labels - working on a sale or return basis.

Send me a message. Helen x
