pigschick is a small beachwear label for men and women including clothes and accessoires, making your life at the beach more comfortable. All products are made in Germany.
Our production seperates mainly into three parts:
First of all we do have small factories doing the sewing which partly is finished by hand (knitted caps sewed together, crochet babyblankets eg.). Then we focus on involving social institutions. Our backpack for example is partly manufactured in a place where disabled people get the chance to work, as well as our cap's pompoms, which are also done by disabled people. Our third part of manufacturing way is a group of elder ladies who do hand knitted socks for us. They donate all money they earn to a project, which is about integration of disabled people.
We do not only offer production to local manufacturers we also want to open peoples eyes to the ones in our society which do not have the luck of being as healthy as others. We need to involve disabled people into everyday life and give them the opportunity of being able to do something else besides sitting aside.
pigschick is about helping, caring and supporting each other.
Our concept is also not to produce endless collections twice or four times a year, but to design things people love and use for more than just one season. Keeping things as favourite ones and not to consume one after another year after year.
