partners, contacts, designers interested in ethical materials
About me / About business or organisation:
I am the founder of The TextIles Co., a resource company for designers looking for ethical and natural materials. Our current line focuses on handwoven textiles made from natural fibers and handmade accents that are made by partner community artisans in Southeast Asia.
Career history / Company history:
Before moving to Europe, I was working on local crafts enterprise development for six years, working directly with various indigenous communities in the Philippines and other southeast Asian countries. This experience led me to develop links with various artisan groups and discover and explore various natural materials. Through this company, I help designers discover new ethical materials while helping artisans from remote villages reach markets.
