I’m Rachel Wintz, a Sociologist from Anchorage, Alaska. I’m working on a proposal to study and report on the sustainable fashion industry, profiling sustainable innovations within the industry and looking toward the future of the fashion industry and its impact around the globe on social, economic, and environmental factors.

I’d like to interview people in all sorts of positions within the fashion industry -from the farm to the factory to the shop. If the proposal is funded, I will be submitting reports to be disseminated by either the National Geographic or the Institute of Current World Affairs. If you’re available for an interview about your work in the sustainable fashion industry or perhaps would like to do a multimedia project about your work, please contact me at

Additionally, if you have information or resources you can refer me to, I’m happy to receive any expertise you have to share with me about the sustainable fashion industry. Your collaboration is much appreciated and will greatly enhance my understanding of the sustainable fashion industry.

Thank you,

Hi all,

Who is up for an EFF meeting at the end of Jan? If there's more than 5 we can organise it!
Happy new year all,
