My background is in development having worked with the Red Cross, UNICEF, and the Guyana Human Rights Association. However, my true love has always been fashion, clothes, accessories and beautiful things. In 2007 I decided that I didn't have to choose one path and could combine my passion for people, the environment and fashion into one career. I completed my MA in environment, development and policy at the end of 2008 and focussed heavily on 'ethical fashion' and its relationship to business and retail. I am currently managing the beautiful fair trade boutique FAIR. Come visit if you are ever in Brighton - it's right by the train station!

Thanks for getting back to me Emma, I just need you to aswer a couple of questions:

1) Why do you think sustainble fashion is so important?

2) What made you want to enter the field of 'ethical fashion'?

3) What advice would you give to consumers on how they can take steps to lower their fashion footprint?

If you could also include you job title, company/companies you work for and age please, that would be fantastic. Thanks again.

I am a Journalism student at Liverpool John Moores University, and am currently working on a fashion feature to do with sustainable/ethical fashion. The feature will be going on the JMU Journalism site which is accessed in over 150 countries. I am currently trying to interview people who work in the industry, if you are interested in featuring in the article please get in touch.
