HI Everyone,

I m looking to source knit and woven eco-conscious fabrics ( Tencel,Modal, Peace Silk, Recycled Poly.Organic Cotton) from the USA. Any suggestions of suppliers would be greatly appreciated! Also, we are looking to print yardage either digitally or screen-printed. Does anyone know of any fabric printing companies in the USA?

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for eco-friendly fabrics that are manufactured in the US, perhaps those that are manufactured with a closed loop,made out of domestic raw
materials.

Some of the fabrics that I'd be interested in included:

Peace Silk (I know it's mainly produced in India.)
Wool (Found Vermont Organic Fiber Company, but would consider others.)
Bamboo blend, Chitosan, Modal blend or Lenpur (for suiting tops)
Sasawashi
Seacell
Soyfiber
Tencel

Most of the tops will be woven, not knit. If you can suggest other fabrics
based on drape, that would be helpful too. Some of these fabrics I've
chosen based on properties other than drape. Therefore, I'm not
certain that they will be the best for what I need.

I'm looking for fabrics for all seasons right now since I'm looking to use the cost of these fabrics to do financial projections for my
line. If you work for a textile wholesaler, I'd love swatches if you can send some you think would be helpful.

Hi all

I set up an ethical book club

Please have a look

I have started a with a couple books and ask you to all follow the format

1) add a discussion (as its easier for people to comment their thoughts back rather than on the comment wall)
2) add a picture of the book
3) make sure you title it with author
4) give your personal review on the book ( i took from amazon but please give your own as this was simply for example purposes)
5) your score card out of 5 please - 5 = excellent, 4 = very good, 3 = good, 2 = average, 1 = poor

and most importantly read, learn and enjoy! AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS to join too!!!

Hello! Las Otras Hermanas is a fair trade clothing company using only certified organic and fair trade (certified by FLO) fabrics from India. The garments are constructed in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico by members of an organization named ALDEA. We have a fair trade retail space and are located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

I am looking for designers based in the USA that may be interested in working with us.

Our target audience is young and very stylish. The clothes will need to sell with dignity because they are something the consumer would purchase anyways, not because its a charitable thing to do, despite the fact that they are not fashionable. This is the only way that ethical, fair trade, organic fashion will rise from the niche market it is. Dignity is also our main value along with respect.
