Yes Ashley its very popular for weddings. I ask because I not only design tartans (including the missouri tartan) but I write on their historical background and worldwide links - www.internationaltartans.co.uk. I see this is an ongoing process and have developed designs for African nations, NFL football teams, etc as well as European countries and US States. A little bit of history was made yesterday when the Sputh Africa tartan came off the loom in Worcester Cape Province - the first tartan cloth ever to be woven in Africa. Some of it will be made into school uniforms for High schools in the Bay Area of San Francisco
