I'm looking for fair-trade fabrics made in Africa. Ideally working with a small co-op or local village. We are mainly working in East Africa so ideally either Kenya, Ethiopia or Burundi. Thank you!

One of the contacts we met in Delhi, India was a man named Prashant. He runs an organic, fair-trade cotton mill for his family. He was very nice and easy to work with. He would be a great resource for anyone looking to source organic cotton (for clothes, t-shirts, baby items), and also had organic, fair-trade terry cloth (for towels, etc.) His contact info is Prashant:  herbalfab@gmail.com

Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate if you could take the time to answer my questionnaire on ethical fashion, it should only take 10 mins! It's for my dissertation (final year uni student!) so your help is much appreciated! Here's the link:

Caiomhe:

This organization works with producers in Mexico to produce buttons: http://www.ecococo.org/

Fair Trade recycled glass beads/powdered glass beads:
http://eshopafrica.com/acatalog/Recycled_Glass_beads.html

You can also make your own buttons from branches... with the right tools.

Hi Caiomhe,

It my be a little late but I thought I'd let you know about J.T Morgan.
I source all my buttons from there. It's all old vintage stock.... My choice is slightly limited as I do menswear but he has tones for womenswear... It's in a warehouse in west london (near woodlane tube station)... contact: 0208 222 6711
