Dear Sian,

you can check www.bishopstontrading.co.uk company.
It is a company based in UK that sells organic cotton fabrics made in India.

Hi, I'm going into my final year at University and am looking for organic / fairtrade fabrics which are made and produced here in the UK. I was wondering if anyone could tell me of any shops or websites, this would be a great help.
Many thanks
Sian

Hi Rita,

My friend has a store in Belgium and the garments are entirely made of hemp and he has a hemp farm nearby. If you click on some of the site's links it's a very educational experience. Hope this helps. I also have a designer friend in Germany that acquired hemp silk for me for a special occasion from a supplier in the UK. I could ask about the source.

Hello EFF Members,
I'm looking to gain some insight on Hemp textiles. Specifically, the durability of the fabric, the technical aspects for dying the fabric, and the social and environmental aspects of using this fiber. Any information would be very helpful! Thanks- Rita Luppino

Hello, Does anyone have any experience of importing fabric and UK import taxes? I have had a look on businesslink.gov.uk and it seems very involved. Is anyone able to tell me about your experiences and real tangible figures? Thanks, Helen
