Sourcing and Supplying | Spotlight on Sourcing

This group has been created to help connect suppliers and manufacturers with brands, designers and entrepreneurs and to connect anyone interested in liaising with others or sharing best practice in relation to sustainable sourcing in the fashion sector.

Created in 2009 when the Ethical Fashion Forum launched its Spotlight on Sourcing initiative, it includes all the presentations and notes from the Spotlight on Sourcing seminar and workshop series.

There is a discussion forum here for each of the topics that were covered, from working with co-operatives to sourcing from different regions in the world.

Hello everyone.

I am also looking for some help sourcing organic/ fair trade fabrics, if anyone can help I'd be very grateful. Please email: missheadchief@live.co.uk.

Does anybody know anything about woodblock printing too please? Or know of any artisan woodblock printers?

Many Thanks,

Hi all

I set up an ethical book club

Please have a look

I have started a with a couple books and ask you to all follow the format

1) add a discussion (as its easier for people to comment their thoughts back rather than on the comment wall)
2) add a picture of the book
3) make sure you title it with author
4) give your personal review on the book ( i took from amazon but please give your own as this was simply for example purposes)
5) your score card out of 5 please - 5 = excellent, 4 = very good, 3 = good, 2 = average, 1 = poor

and most importantly read, learn and enjoy! AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS to join too!!!

Hi Neal,
We were recently in India trying to source fair trade and organic cotton makers. Let me know if you're interested and i can pass along the info.

Hi Neal,

You could do worse than go to mystring.info where there is a list of traceable companies on the String log in page.

Heidi.

My name is a n u p a and i have recently joined the ethical fashion forum. I am british indian - founder of the luxury accessory brand a n u p a (www.anupa.net). My work is namely with leather (yes leather can be eco friendly & sustainable). I am based in ho chi minh city, vietnam - my work is ethicial, eco friendly, sustainable and ergonomic.
