THTC - The Hemp Trading Company

THTC - The Hemp Trading Company started out over 10 years ago as a university society in Hull called ‘Hempology’ educating students about the environmental benefits of the hemp plant. From there in 1999, THTC was born - one of the first eco-lifestyle brands mixing art, fashion, music and eco friendly products resulting in a ground breaking brand. Set up by brothers Dru and Gav Lawson and close friend Dan Sodergren, THTC built a solid reputation and relations with the underground music scene through close sponsorship with many of the UK’s biggest and best respected artists and club nights, initially within the Drum and Bass and Hip Hop genre then later, expanding to include Breaks, Reggae and Rock.

Still going strong over a decade later, THTC has expanded its range of men’s and women’s wear to include a range carbon neutral, wind-farm produced organic cotton t-shirts. THTC has also produced T-shirt ranges for over 50 bands, artists and charities. These include Newton Faulkner, Maharishi, the NHS, The Ecologist Magazine, The Burma Campaign UK, Hip Hop giants Zulu Nation and reggae legends Trojan Sound System.

Watch out this spring for the unmissable collaboration between ‘THTC’ and ‘My Only One’
