Holly talked to us about her time there:
"Our aim was to collate information from workshops and discussions from trade workers, craftsmen and industry workers from India to use these ideas and knowledge to create a sustainable and ethical collection to be showcased at London and India Fashion week."
"Developing my Bespoke Tartan Project, I used what I learnt and tried to put this into practice when designing and getting my pieces produced."
"The tartan pattern within the cloth relates to the amounts of people involved within the project. Six UK designers, six Indian designers, 13 students, five UK co-ordinators, seven Indian coordinators. These numbers correlate to colours, and the structure of the tartans. I decided to create a piece two meters by 15 inches wide. This then had a series of buttonholes and buttons, so the piece can be worn in many ways, and the wearer can interact with the piece as they wish, and hopefully prolong the life of the cloth because of its multi-use."
