I am a 'new kid on the block' when it comes to fashion, and especially ethical fashion. However, what I can 'bring to the party' from the outset is strong commercial marketing expertise that includes creating a strong brand, determining your market entry and overall strategic marketing and communications approaches, and ultimately your customer engagement/management programmes.

Over a year ago I met Cyndi Rhoades at an marketing industry event on ethical trade. We discussed how ethical clothing/fashion could make a difference on changing the impact on communities worldwide. Having developed my career in marketing and communications across a wide range of industries and sectors, I decided to set up my own business (Markman OTW) so I could bring my experience to bear on the drive to establish ethical business approaches - the end game being, enlightened businesses driving a responsible business agenda globally, delivering value to each member of the supply chain through to the end customer. And although I won't be able to cover every aspect of business, I am very committed to the following: clothing/fashion, retail, music, food, and health (sport/fitness/healthy living). These are all interrelated, and touch on the key requirements of the human condition - to feel nourished, healthy, equipped for life, to feel emotionally enhanced/supported, and to share our good fortune with others. And just a bit about me......well, passionate about food/drink, embrace a healthy fitness regime, enjoy a wide range of sports, often found out at the theatre/club/concert, self-confessed petrolhead (sorry, but that's my weakness), and take an active interest in emerging trends/culture/changes to society and the World we live in.....and I'm a 'glass half-full, practical type'.
