How do you match your accessories with?

need some help here. I like to know how do you match your accessories with? Recently, I started buying earrings,  but don't seem to know how to match them with? Should match with colours or style?

of cause all accessories should match each other with the colour or style. Say if i am wearing light skirt and Black gucci handbag. my earrings will also be little and the same color with my skirt.

Thanks for you suggestion! Not only earring, clothes, handbags, shoes are also very important. And handbags like clothes, they are neccessary.
