I am organizing an eco fashion show in May as part of the Chorlton Arts Festival (manchester) to showcase any eco designers/businesses based in the northwest predominantly Manchester. Eco fashion can be recyled, 2nd hand, ethically sourced. Please get in touch if this is of interest.

Dear Charlotte,

Sounds wonderful! I graduated last summer and have since been developing my work. I'm interested if is possible with my time scale :) I have all my concepts/ designs/ illustrations/ patterns/ samples/ and lists of suppliers complete. I'm in the process of toile making. I'd love to hear more though and see whats possible.

Many Thanks,

Becky T-F
hi becky,

Lovely to hear from you sorry for the late reply - the show is at the end of may so would give you 3 months. How many outfits are you working on? It would get local and if we push hard for it MEN coverage so would be a good opportunity to showcase your work if you were looking to launch a business in this area. Let me know your thoughts

There's a problem that a local accessories manufacturer, JJ Blackledge wallet manufactureres who made corporte gifts, called in the recievers on a Friday this year while on the following Monday Ethical Fashion Forum were chairing a meeting called "Making it Ethically In China" or something similar at a Chinese cultural centre in Manchester. I've asked why and been told that the gist of the meeting was to say how hard it is to make things ethically in China which begs the question: why is the UK government subsidising such a meeting? Until that problem is sorted out it's going to be hard to find local ethical factories but I wish you luck.
Dear Charlotte,

We are based in Birmingham, is that too far away from your geographical search? We would love to display our range of Casual garments for Men, Women and Children. It would fit excellently with our Summer Collection.

Please check out my profile and our site www.excentree.com

I'm a recycled fashion designer based in Manchester, I take clothing that's not good enough to be re sold in charity shops and make them into gorgeous things... I have a profile on EFF,and facebook.....Love Me Again - Recycled in the UK, I've just had some new photos done which will be going on everything this week. There is a website too: www.lovemeagain.co.uk, but it's going to be redone soon, so it's not quite how I want it to be...

I'm available to help too, I livein Whalley Range.

Kind regards,
Tracey
