Jayne Storey is running one last marathon to raise money for Jacobs Well

On the 3^rd June Jayne Storey, the Sales and Marketing Coordinator at Jacobs Well will be running the Cork Marathon in Ireland to raise money for the charity Jacobs Well, a much deserved cause and asking for your help in doing so.

 

Jayne Describes how last years support  made a World of Difference to jacobs well

‘Thanks to your warmed hearted support this enabled me to return to India and help to equip the Unit with 10 proper chairs to support the team’s back whilst they work and cardigans to keep them warm in the rainy season. Upon my return to Bangalore I managed to secure a scholarship placement for Lydia, Production Manager to attend a business entrepreneurship diploma.  From a young women, who had only one year education with commitment and dedication Lydia graduated from a Business Entrepreneurship Diploma winning investment funding and first price for an outstanding Business Plan.  Your support has made a world of difference. Lydia’s husband is now setting up a family business and her family’s futures look bright’ - Jayne

 

To sustain the livelihoods of the women and  this small scale enterprise the staff need further investment in training, to develop the business and secure more work. With limited staff resources to focus on driving business development forward and secure production work for the Unit, your support would help give the charity a lifeline.
