- Katie Ledger is a recently graduated designer who concentrates on sustainable and environmental issues within her work. Projects have focused on multipurpose garments, the recycling of old garments and creating accessories from plastic bags.
The Fashion and the Environment MA will develope a signature style and approach to sustainable fashion design. Recent projects have focused on the energy intensive process of laundering and biomimicry.

Shed Me Clothes

Hi all
I am undertaking a project entitled Shed Me Clothes, which is based on biomimetics (using nature for inspiration for design problems). I am in the process of developed a textile that can shed like a snake to eliminate the need to launder garments.
