I started a passion for fair-trade after a mission trip to Uganda. I bet women that made hand-crafted jewelry and purchased them as gifts upon my return to the States. I got involved with the organization that employees the women and began selling and distributing the jewelry around my town. After I graduated college with a communications degree I set out to intern for the organization I met back in 2007, Light Gives Heat.
