Hi Myriam, I'm planning a trip later this year to meet and work with ethical fashion producers as a sort of fact-finding mission before I eventually set up my own business. I have been working in production and product development for luxury fashion brands in the UK (currently Burberry) for the past 6 years and I am passionate about finding ways to increase production of fashion in Africa. My plan is to travel and spend some time working with a variety of projects/producers to see how everyone is working and how we can learn from each other. I am mostly travelling in Africa but would like to travel elsewhere to see how everyone is working differently. Do you know of any great projects or suppliers worth visiting, or anyone who would appreciate an extra member of staff for few months? Many thanks, Nicola.

Thanks Miriam for adding me as a friend. I'm out in a remote part of Kenya training a group of producers on behalf of an organization in Italy hence my delay in responding to your invite. I look forward to learning more about you and sharing the same

That's great to hear. We are just beginning to compile a booklet about sourcing from Ghana - so I'll keep you informed about that. Additionally on the 18th August we have an event in London "Spotlight on Africa" so I'll give you updates on that too. It would be great to meet you in person!

All the best,

Kate

Hi Myriam,

I would like to invite you to join the Africa group where you should find some useful contacts. You can join by clicking on the groups tab at the top of the page, then click on the Africa group and finally click "join group". There is also a new Ghana group if that is of any interest to you. I hope to see you there soon,

Kate
