Hi All,

I'm having a clear out (as i'm going away in August) and getting rid of loads of fabric which includes many different fabrics/colours/patterns there are mostly large pieces over a few metres as well as smaller pieces under a metre. It so far comes to 4 large plastic boxes but i haven't finished yet.

I would like to see it go to a good cause rather than try to sell it as I know there are so many worthwhile projects going on who could do something amazing with all this fabric!

If you feel this is you, please send me an email and let me know how you would benefit from this. I am based in London so this probably really applies to those also based in the London area unless you can travel to collect.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Emma,

This a brilliant idea, i'm sure there's going to be many worthwhile cause's to donate your fabrics too. I just have a quick question if you don't mind. Would you have any leather within those samples that you're looking to donate by any chance? I'm currently working on a project where i'm recycling used or unwanted leather, eventually to work with rural artisan's in India.

If you do, it would be great if you might consider donating them my way, but if not then no worries at all. Thanks and good luck with finding them a happy home and cause.

Warmest regards

Hi Yamini,

Thanks for your response. I don't have any leather at the moment however I have a bag of fur offcuts that I really don't know what to do with if you are interested in them? I acquired them in a bigger bulk of leather scraps a while ago and have since been sitting on them not knowing what to do with them. I know fur is not ethical but it somehow felt worse throwing them away so at least they could go to a good cause. Let me know!

Hi Emma,

Message on its way to you now. We always need fabric (we have a permanent call out for donations) and try to recycle and upcycle as much as possible. We work with two womens groups in Uganda to produce clothing and toys that we sell and send 100% back to help the orphaned children in their care - www.awamu.wordpress.com.

Hi Emma,

Your project is fantastic! The african prints you use are lovely. I'd really like to help and if this fabric can go to some use then i'm more than happy for you to take it.

Where abouts are you based and would you be able to drive to pick the fabric up? I am based in south london.

You can email me directly on emmalucymcginn@hotmail.com

Best,

Emma
