I'm 13 and I want to be you one day! I love your collections especially your Winter '10. I'm big on sustainability and really want to be an ethical fashion designer when I grow up. I love block colours and your outfits have a relaxed quirky sleek vibe that really attracts me. I have no idea how to dressmake or set up my own business, but have a head full of ideas. I really admire you and how you have made such beautiful clothes out of recycled textiles!
Show on the the 19th august sounds good, I've emailed you yesterday, Very interested... can have a collection together in time for that. Let me know any key dates, castings, line ups, walk thru's etc. Will you be arranging for stalls at the event?
Let me know your deadline for submissions, I can send you my ideas for a catwalk presentation whenever you respond : )
Luv your designs really funky and fresh with the geometric and bold colors great concept of style :) I am a BA Textiles Print Design grad @ uel and im looking to do more work experience in helping with events, fashion shows and exhibitions to develop my cv and portfolio if you are looking for extra help can you plz inbox me.
Hey Tracey.. good ideas on the Barclays competition.. your idea is really innovative - good way of getting people to work for you and offering skills back to them at the same time.. good one for students to get involved in, you could recruit from across the north!
I know what you mean... work keeps bashing on about diversifying revenue streams... how thinly can you spread yourself without losing the original intentions.. I'm teaching, moderating, even sewing gets a look in at some point!! it's going to turn around soon, been lucky enough to get my work into a shop in the bullring for only 25% commission!!! dream!! so try and build on that.
What other exciting things do you get up to then? : )
