Confined Space Ethical Concept Store is a new, independent, online store that offers a creatively curated selection of contemporary ethical fashion designers and brands. They will celebrate their online launch with a preview week at ‘The Hackney Shop’ Pop-up Store, from 24-29th June, 2014.
For 1 week only – the new online concept store; Confined[ ]Space – will partner with The Hackney Shop to offer a contemporary and uniquely-ethical shopping experience in this vibrant part of East London. The store will preview the same mix of independent women’s, men’s and accessory designers as will be stocked online, including: Bourgeois Boheme, Antithesis, Antiform, Riyka, Outsider, The Top Project, Heidi Mottram, Hiro & Wolf, Emma Ware, Stroem Design, Cholesbury’s, Ruby Moon, Tobias Clothing.
Throughout the week there will be a number of events, including; a flash sale on menswear brand Tobias Clothing’s SS14 collection both in-store and online, as well as a showcase of their collaborative projects, including; ‘Transcendence’, a film by Four Four film & Emma Ware specifically commissioned by Confined[ ]Space and submitted to Berlin Fashion Film Festival.
“Confined [ ] Space” is launched by Fashion Designer/Forecaster & ethical enthusiast; Carrie Davies (who is also a contributor for the Offset Warehouse blog). Her vision was to create an online concept store that offers a curated selection of the best ethical fashion designers and brands – with a focus on great design coupled with eco and ethical elements and sustainable stories. Part of the concept is also to encourage creative collaborations to showcase the ethical designers on uniquely innovative platforms – resulting in original conceptual projects that showcase their designs in an engaging and fresh manner.
