In a special initiative to celebrate Mother’s Day, Caipora Eco Jewellery is not only introducing new pieces of wearable art, it’s showcasing the skills of local artists in creating its Mother’s Day Greeting Card.
Caipora has specially selected 4 unique jewellery designs for the occasion. And to complete the perfect Mother’s Day gift package, Caipora has invited local artists to design a unique Greeting Card. The winning card design will be chosen by customer votes.
How it works
Artist Clive Wakeford, an exciting environmental artist based in Colchester, and Melaneia Warwick, a superb multicultural artist in Hampshire, have been chosen for their inspirational vision, ecological beliefs and environmentally-aware subject matter.
Voting closes on 29th January 2010, when the most popular design will be chosen as part of the Caipora
Mother’s Day gift package.
As a finishing touch, the gift package includes a beautiful Natural Fibre Gift Bag.
It adds up to the perfect all-in-one solution for this special occasion – and is great value too.
Even better,Caipora will make a donation to an environmental charity, focusing on Amazon Rainforest biodiversity
Caipora, which in the Tupi Guarani indigenous language means “The Forest Protector”, works with over 60 professional artisans based in Belem, northern Brazilian state, surrounded by the Amazon rainforest. Their handcrafted and joyful jewellery pieces are made from carefully selected materials. These are largely sourced by riverside communities, who use their native knowledge to collect the best materials in a sustainable manner and, always where possible, to recycle them. The majority of their materials are surplus to the Mother Nature’s requirements and therefore the local ecosystem is left unharmed.
