About me / About business or organisation:
Auralis Herrero-Lugo is the mastermind behind Auralistudio. Since she was a little girl growing up in her native Puerto Rico, constant creation has been at the core of all her endeavors. Possesing an inherited strong creative spirit forged upon generations of creative independent women in her family ,her quest for fashion design began at the age of ten when her mother would produce the dresses her daughter would sketch at her atelier. Naturally, this evolved into formal design studies at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. After successfully finishing her studies, Ms. Herrero-Lugo moved to New York City where she has worked for various contemporary labels such as Susana Monaco & Maridade. But after more than five years in the fashion industry, at a time of deep reflection having witnessed firsthand the impact on the planet’s natural resources the fashion and textiles industry exerts, Ms. Herrero-Lugo decided to finally take matters into her hands and combine her deep commitment to the conservation of the planet resources at the same time allowing her creative genius brings to life enticing designs.

Consequently, Auralistudio was born, out of the designer’s necessity to use the tools acquired over the years and employ them towards improving the fashion industry by using our planet resources wisely.
Career history / Company history:
At Auralistudio we pride ourselves in making beautifully designed, practical and fashion forward yet timeless pieces. Every piece is made responsibly with love and care. We use organic fabrics whenever possible and, all of our fabrics have natural sustainable non polluting fibers in them. We produce our pieces in Brooklyn, New York and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The people that make our clothes are paid a fair wage and treated as what they are, creative partners of the collective design effort. As a small business we care about the community we live in, the lives of people we touch and the effect our actions have on the welfare of the planet. We love what we do and we hope it always shows in the clothes we send out to the world.
