About me / About business or organisation:
Maria Cárdenas makes clothes that are wearable and elegant, and that are made to last.
Maria was recently invited to join the Irish Linen Guild, and be a part of the great tradition of a natural beautiful fabric, and of the expertise developed in Ireland over the centuries. It is a material that is natural, sourced locally, with a soft ecological footprint.
“Based in the North, among the Mournes, near Newry, I have been able to keep my feet on the ground over the last few years. I wanted to source fabric and produce in Ireland, and to design and make elegant wearable clothes that last, rather than chase all the trends.”
Maria Cárdenas designs classics in natural materials- Irish Linen, Tasar Silk, and Cotton. Maria also shows her shirtmaking expertise, to create exclusive tailored shirts- handcrafted in Ireland in the finest Irish Linen.
A third generation tailor and designer, Maria’s designs are based on simple, well defined shapes, developed over many years. Maria has been approached for an outfit for the Ulster Museum Fashion Collection. Maria Cárdenas features in the current Masters of Linen brochure, produced by the Paris and New York based organization to show off the best in European Linen. And she has just been invited to join the very exclusive Irish Linen Guild.

My name is Laricea Ioana Roman and I am a student at Kingston University, London (KU ID 0942659). I am doing a Master in Marketing, Advertising and Communications and at the moment I am writing my Dissertation. My topic is related to ethical clothing, more specifically, I am investigating how personal values influence customers' decision to buy ethical clothing. In order to come up with some answers for my topic, I need some opinions from people who actually bought ethical clothes.
This is the reason why I am kindly asking you to help me and fill in my questionnaire. It will take you no more than 10 minutes and you can win three books and £30 vouchers! http://kingston.qualtrics.com/SE?SID=SV_bK3ZXJqdOsXtm4I
