About me / About business or organisation:
Made for impact, just not on the earth is our production philosophy.
We know it’s possible to source ethically and with environmental consideration, without compromising on quality.

With most of our production from our partner factory in Tanzania, East Africa, we are able to oversee a fully transparent, vertical operation and have been audited against the BSCI code that protects workers rights. These guidelines provide the basis of our Code of Conduct that, amongst other things, ensure no child labour, fair living wages, freedom of association and rights to collective bargaining as well as fringe benefits such as free transport, subsidized meals , housing and free on-site clinic. We work closely with all of our supplier factories to ensure the same high standards as met by all.

The Mantis World range features 79 styles across four collections, all made with care for the environment and the wearer, and all with Oeko Tex 100 certification in Class 1 – covering the most stringent tests for babywear. These collections include: ‘Mantis’ a stylish range for men and women, ‘Humbugz’ with trendy childrenswear for kids aged 2 to 12 years, ‘Babybugz’ with cute babywear up to 24 months and the unique ‘Tender Loving Clothing’ (TLC) range delivering GOTS certified 100% organic cotton clothing for all ages. The entire collection is ready for print and embroidery and available to order from extensive stocks across Europe, whether it’s just one piece or 100,000.
If you can’t find what you need from the stock range, we also offer a bespoke ‘Design•It•Yourself’ service, which lets you create your own designs from start to finish or simply make changes to one of our existing styles. Minimum order per style, colour and size is as little as 150 pieces. Minimum quantity for special colours is approximately 500 pieces of a large size (e.g a mens’ Tshirt).
To find out more about the collection and our bespoke service, contact us on 0207 224 8991 or email: info@mantisworld.com
Career history / Company history:
We were honoured to receive the Ethical Fashion Forum’s RE:Fashion Award for ‘Ethical Manufacturer’ in 2008.

In 2008 we received two more industry awards with the European Chic Awards for ‘Best Childrenswear’ collection and the Printwear & Promotion Excellence Award for ‘Best Manufacturer’.

Mantis World was born in 2000 with the Mantis range of fashionable t-shirt and jersey styles for men and women, providing unbranded, ‘blank’ garments ready for decoration and available from stock for quick turn-around.

The Mantis World family quickly grew to include the Humbugz range of trendy childrenswear in 2003 followed by the Babybugz babywear range and ‘TLC’ –Tender Loving Clothing organic cotton collection, both launched in 2005.

The ‘DIY’- Design•It•You bespoke design and manufacturing service, is the latest addition and was launched in 2007.

Dear Mantis World

I've noticed that most of your products come from your partner factory in Tanzania with a great Code of Conduct. I would therefore like to invite you to join the Africa group where you will find some useful contacts and information. I'm the group administrator and will keep you informed of upcoming events and so on. See you there :)
