I am an Italian designer based in London, founder of MTLabels.
The philosophy behind the brand is to combine aesthetics and ethics.
Our top of the range handbags are made in vegetable tanned leather handpicked by me in Tuscany at the Consortium of Vera Pelle Conciata al Vegetale.
The leather is tanned using the bark of native chestnut tree and the mimosa flower. Each bag comes with a serial number and therefore can be traced to source. The hardware is kept to a minimum and the bags are ethically produced in London and Italy.
Career history / Company history:
I started the company in 2007 by collaborating with Italian artisans in an experimental project. The handbags, hand cut and hand stitched, were made in Tuscany using old techniques dating from Renaissance times.
In 2008 I took part of the production to East London where my bags are still handmade today by a small family run workshop.
MTLabels handbags are stocked in London and Dublin, Ireland.

I would very much appreciate your help. I am studying for an MA in Marketing at Kingston Business School under the supervision of Professor Robert East. We are conducting research about Fairtrade goods and ethical fashion clothes, and ask you to complete the enclosed short questionnaire. I am also offering a £50 shopping gift voucher to the lucky prize draw winner!!!!
I really need to find social responsible persons who buy ethical fashion clothes. Any help in distributing my link among ethically concerned people will be very valuable.
Could you please complete this questionnaire, following the link
