Kampala Fair is a small owned business based in Uganda, East Africa, producing high quality apparel and home décor. We strongly believe that giving women the chance to work is more powerful than giving charity, and it’s this belief that drove us to establish Kampala Fair. At Kampala Fair, we empower women by providing fair paid, skilled jobs that mean they can support their families, educate their children and invest in their futures. Our mission is to grow a thriving and sustainable business that will provide more good employment opportunities to women in Uganda. But that’s not all that drives us: we want to design and make products that bring international appeal to the vibrant and colourful fabrics of Africa.
Kampala Fair employs 10 people and has built up a solid business in Uganda. We now want to employ more by growing an international market for our products.
Two business partners founded Kampala Fair as a way of providing real jobs that would give people decent working conditions, skills, a sense of pride in their work and the ability to give themselves and their families a secure future.
