Ethically sourced silk and ethical production facilities, along with stockists and press.
About me / About business or organisation:
I have recently co-founded Beulah London with my business partner, Natasha Rufus Isaacs.

To give you a bit of background on the brand;

Natasha and I spent two months last year, working in an aftercare home in the slums of Delhi, with women who had come out of the sex trade. Having witnessed the harrowing effects of sex trafficking first hand, we were inspired to set up a business to employ the women and provide them with training skills to give them an alternative, sustainable livelihood. We are working alongside an organisation, 'Freeset', based in Kolkata, that employs circa 170 women from the biggest red light district there, Sonagacchi. Currently the girls are not yet skilled enough to make up the entirety of each piece so they are making up a bag which is given with every purchase, or sold separately for £10, with £1 of every sale going to 'Stop the Traffik' (a UK anti-trafficking charity). The vision is to set up training schemes and apprenticeships at 'Freeset', so that one day we will have the whole of production made by the girls.

We like to think of Beulah as part of the growing trend towards social impact ventures, which provide not only exceptional customer experience and high quality products, but also set about to make a difference in the world; 'Fashion with compassion'.

Our first Spring Summer'11 Collection is comprised of timeless styles, easy-to-wear, and the colours are vibrant, inspired by our trip to India.

You might be interested to note that we have recently been awarded a special commendation by the united nations for our efforts to combat human trafficking as a business.

Dear Beulah!

I would very much appreciate your help. I am studying for an MA in Marketing at Kingston Business School under the supervision of Professor Robert East. We are conducting research about Fairtrade goods and ethical fashion clothes, and ask you to complete the enclosed short questionnaire.
I am also offering a £50 shopping gift voucher to the lucky prize draw winner!!!!

I really need to find  social responsible persons who buy ethical fashion clothes. Any help in distributing my link among ethically concerned people will be very valuable.
Could you please complete this questionnaire, following the link
Thank you very much for your help.
Yours sincerely,

Alma Erzhanova
