About me / About business or organisation:
Emesha was founded in 2008 to fill a gap in high end ethical women's wear clothing. The clothes are designed for women who don't want to compromise on style and quality, yet look for environmentally friendly, ethically produced pieces.

The designer, Emesha Nagy, graduated from the London College of Fashion (University of the Arts) in 2006. Her graduate collection was selected by the (Swatch) Alternative Fashion Week committee to show in April 2007. Emesha's previous experiences include working at Vivienne Westwood and Jasper Conran. She'd also been a style advisor for the luxury store, Selfridges in London.

Emesha's mission is to create eco-friendly fashion forward women's wear luxury clothing, and is part of the slow fashion movement.
"Fast fashion has created a disposable mentality in consumers, it has diminished the appreciation for the art and quality of fashion, as well as an understanding of the work and process involved in crafting apparel. I see the impact fashion has, by its sheer global scope, on the environment. I want to be part of the change needed in the industry to look for new resources and processes that do not have a negative impact on our planet."

London Fashion Week - Estethica (Autumn/Winter 2010)

Emesha launches new collection at Estethica

London Fashion Week, Somerset House 19th – 23rd February

Emesha is being heralded as the exciting, new sustainable brand to watch – and the collection was shown for the first time in the UK at Estethica at London Fashion Week.

The covetable AW10 collection combines strong masculine and ultra feminine elements, representing the ever changing emotions of a woman - with inspiration coming from the emotional extremes of love and hate, happiness and sadness, soft and rough. These feelings are reflected in the mix of shapes, colours and fabrics, combining draping with cutting edge tailoring to all blend into a visually balanced collection.
The collection includes masculine pieces such as cargo pants and romantic feminine draping, with little black dresses to compliment the daywear pieces, all worn rough for an urban chic look. The colour palette includes khakis, blacks, greys, beiges and a touch of bright pink in a range of fabrics from soft silks to hard woollens.
Expert production skills result in a collection with superior attention to detail and the highest standard of quality, a veritable abundance of playful but wearable pieces.
