About me / About business or organisation:
Having established a successful career as a stylist, working for various magazines and writing several books, I found myself propelled further and further away from the city until we, as a family decided to settle for a life close to the sea in this very beautiful part of Cornwall. It is the stuff of dreams - where as a family we can indulge a very simple way of life - swimming, sailing, kayaking and plenty of sausage sizzles on the beach.
The shop followed next - 'bird… inspired by nature' opened in 2006. With the support of my husband Graham and my staff Bella & Rachel we have managed to create a wonderful shop that has quickly found an enthusiastic, loyal following.
Our aim has been to present an ever evolving selection of clothes, toys and gifts mostly for children (although grown-ups will find quite a bit that might interest them too!). The look is contemporary, colourful and refreshing. You will always find a lively mix of products – with the emphasis on beautiful design, great quality and ultimately things that you will want to cherish and pass down to the next generation. Much of the stock is sourced from companies that employ good ethical standards and organic materials.
If you are wondering what ‘the inspired by nature’ means. Having lived a country lifestyle most of my life, the beauty of nature has always informed what I do in my creative work. It seemed therefore a natural theme for the shop creating a focus on the kind of goods that I buy…you will find that animals, bugs, butterflies, birds and flowers aplenty!

I would very much appreciate your help. I am studying for an MA in Marketing at Kingston Business School under the supervision of Professor Robert East. We are conducting research about Fairtrade goods and ethical fashion clothes, and ask you to complete the enclosed short questionnaire. I am also offering a £50 shopping gift voucher to the lucky prize draw winner!!!!
I really need to find social responsible persons who buy ethical fashion clothes. Any help in distributing my link among ethically concerned people will be very valuable.
