About me / About business or organisation:
Philosophy: Aidah Collection is an ethical, uniquely chic line inspired by the beauty of nature within urban existence. Each handmade garment is brushed in Aidah's signature gold design, creating a limited couture collection. The versatile style unites urban flair and coastal cool with timeless appeal. Celebrate your curves and go effortlessly from business to soiree in comfort and in vogue.
Ethical Mission: Aidah’s ethical mission is to empower women and protect our environment through the support of charity organizations and local artists. The collection is handmade to order instead of at questionable factories, and remnant fabric is given new life as accessories. Aidah encourages confidence with designs that flatter women’s curves from petite to full-figured.
The SPRING 2011 Collection, as seen on actress Gabrielle Union, is chic Aidah style, with more edge. Inspired by sunset over the city skyline, the collection includes two-tone satin cocktail dresses, gowns and jumpers in turquoise, black, purple and white. This season, Aidah introduces the Accessories Collection of handmade broaches and tote bags.

About the Designer: An innately talented prodigy, designer Aidah Fontenot studied advanced fine arts and was featured in museums as a child. This visual arts foundation inspired her first fashion collection as a teenager. Continued studies of color theory, typography, sculpture, art history and humanities influence her chic style. In her design, Aidah unites graphic structure and organic imagery in a way that is consistently perceived as worldly and timeless. “Art is an expression of the soul. Skill is an expression of the mind. Passion is their fuel”.
