So its a range of Man-U merchandise using this new 'Red Army' tartan. But instead of the usual merchandise and fan-based get up, its got a fashion twist to it? is that right? Almost like catering for the wags. That sounds like a great idea!
Hi, David, We're in the pre-launch of our business here in NYC. Of course I'd like to know more about your eco-fabrics. Are they all tartans? What are the fibers? Where in Asia & Africa are you producing? etc. Thanks for your interest. Health and peace, Merideth
Hello David, in response to your querie I work for a company called INCA who run fashion and red carpet events all year round. As well as catwalk shows, music & fashion events and awards ceremonies they also do a lot of charity focused shows for instance Fashion For Relief and the Love Ball that took place last month. You can find more information here: http://www.incaproductions.co.uk
Best,
Louise
hi David - I am in search of beautiful eco fabrics --- can you connect me to the some wonderful textile mills and people sourcing new emerging fabrications for the eco fashion market. The fashion industry is in need of eco fabrics that look and feel luxurious, without compromising style. It is at that point that the consumer will be more and more excited to join in. Thank you, Jill Heller PureThread.
Thanks for looking us up David. Yes we do ship to the UK. Rest assured your purchase will go a long way in supporting Ms. Namegabe and the rest of her collective AFEM/SK. I really appreciate what you're working on too!
I'd love to discuss a possible collaboration. I'm always looking for interesting etjical or eco friendly businesses to partner with. If you need to contt me try info@mononoko.com or maryo29@hotmail.com. Warmest ;)
Yes I have - I showed for the first time at a show called CamerCouture in October last year and I'm about to sow again at Africa Fashion Weekend Dublin on 4 April. I don't have a website yet, still being built.
Hey David - I would very interested in hearing more about this sustainable fashion wear project you mention in the San Francisco area. Let me know the best way to converse, and/or maybe you can share a link. Best, Jordana
I love cottons and wool. I would love to hear more about your work, particularly on using fabric to advance social justice. Looking forwards to hearing from you. Best, Elisabetta

Hi David. I'm very interested in what you do too! Please come along to my Degree Show at the Glasgow School of Art. Some of my prints will have a woven/striped effect. I'm doing lots of hand applied processes including batik, and various different resist techniques. I will also be doing bold, colourful and quirky digital prints onto organic cottons.
Hello David. Yes we can weave other peoples designs. please contact us on email at baanunrakweaving@yahoo.com with your ideas and i will see what we can do for you.
Sorry David, i was logged on as myself and not ofr the organisation so i left a comment from me. but just email us at baanunrak@yahoo.com and we can see how we can help
Thank you for that welcome, David. I like your tartan sheep. I'd like to find out more about tartans for Africa. And wonder if you know - Does anyone make tartan from organic wool? This is all new to me - the world of textiles, living in Scotland - very exciting. Veronica

i will post it on the site
im not workign with her on it like i was before she is taking control and i have offered recommendations only
I'm looking to better understand the production of products that I use in my practice, so I can make more informed decisions—I'm an artist, and I work a lot with paper, and paint and found objects. I came across this site - a friend who works in sustainable fashion with ROGAN and LOOMSTATE and her own line suggested it, since I haven't found that many artists discussing materials in the same way.
Hi David, I love these! Such a great concept - and execution. I'll message you separately to give some more info on the project I'm researching.
Best, Sebastian
Hi David. Thanks so much for your interest in sponsoring a challenge! I will message you giving you full details of who to contact if you are still interested in partnering with Myoo Create. Best of luck to you!
Hi David,
At our school the students only use about 1m to 3m with their final garments that they make for GCSE or A-level each. So any orders we make would be very small.
If we ever get bags of scraps that would otherwise be thrown away, we always use them as well, of any type of fabric, we are not fussy!! These are especially useful for doing small samples of decoration for projects.
What do you think?
Some of them are just starting with an inspiration of punk, so tartan is very appropriate! They won't be making until September, but will be designing before hand. Knowing what is on the market will help when they come to design (which they are just starting to do)
Sounds brilliant and the pictures you have look great!
Sorry its taken a wee while to get back to you, was working anyway, hope everything went well, would love to come along to the finals in May if Im around. Really like your website -tartansforafrica
