About me / About business or organisation:
I am the founder of an online shop for eco and socially friendly women's wear, which will be launched in september 2010.

In addition to the online shop, I am working on a second business project. In this project we plan to build a network of small tailorings in developing countries to give jobs to disadvantaged, unemployed people in an ethical and fair way. Besides the production we plan to open an online shop and physical stores, where the produced fashion will be sold. To make the production transparent to the customers, every garment gets a unique identification code. With that code its possible to find the tailoring from where the garment came from, with lots of background info. The production and the retail service will be offered to all fashion labels, which are interested in fair and sustainable fashion.
Career history / Company history:
After studying marketing and communication I moved from Munich to Berlin where I worked for 4 years for an IT-Full service agency. Last year I spent 4 months in South Africa to get in touch with development work. Through this experience I decided to create a business model which helps people in developing countries on the one side and on the other side has a real business which doesn't depend on donations or other funding. So I ended up in the fashion industry. My work experience containes key accounting, project management, product management, team leading, organization and co-ordination. Hi Sandra, because I own designs such as the German tartan and South Africa tartan Im actually intersted in more than just the production side. I already have things made in Africa but I would like to see cloth woven and products made there to help set up co-operatives.which create employment and support communities. If you drop me a line at davidmcgill61@yahoo.co.uk I'll send you details and images..
