Jake and Maya have launched a competition that rewards the best innovative use of waste material.
As the forecast for 2013 shows no signs of breaking consumers free from times of austerity, one initiative is finding ways to keep consumers happy. Not only does this collective of talented creatives inspire people of all ages to explore their hidden talents, they also show people how to save money while pursuing an enjoyable craft.
Now, Jake and Maya Collective are raising the game, offering even more to their community. From this month they are launching a new challenge, which will see one lucky winner receive £500 in vouchers along with the chance to join the team as a celebrated upcycling designer.
Jake and Maya Collective are appealing to budding textile designers and creators to submit their own upcycling ideas. This competition will run for a full twelve months with a new theme each month. Monthly winners will receive a £50 gift voucher and will be added to the shortlist for the overall annual prize.
People participating are allowed to submit as many entries as they would like as long as each one is completely original from the last.
