About: Exhibition exploring the diversity of the art of weaving.

Interwoven is an exhibition at Platform Gallery, Habitat, London, celebrating the art of weaving for interiors; exploring new technologies and different approaches to design that demonstrate surprising innovation within this versatile making tradition.

At the heart of the exhibition is work produced by Philippa Thorne who produces incredible woven vessels and baskets from Swaziland, where she is now based. Thorne merges traditional African making methods with contemporary design. The result is breathtaking sculptural, vibrant pieces.

Interwoven embraces new environments, new technologies and innovative creative practices giving the ancient art of weaving an emphatic new meaning.
