About me / About business or organisation:

I was born in Poland and moved to live in UK in 2001.

I always had a huge passion for clothes although growing up in a communist and post-communist country gives you little else but empty shelves...however there always was paper, scissors and her paper dolls. I lived in their world, designing their lives and more important their clothes.
My favorite doll 'Beata’ always had to have the prettiest dress as she was so special - black hair, nice fringe and that spotted red dress.

In 2008 I graduated from University as an accountant. As much as I like my numbers I always wanted to be more creative...yet if you start becoming a ‘creative accountant’ it usually leads to a fraud case.

In 2010 I took a part in Leeds Fashion Show. I had never sketched and hardly ever sewn anything but an Ikea cushion.
I drew the clothes I really loved and then submitted them to the Leeds Fashion Show panel. They liked them and suddenly I was in.

Many, many hours of joy have passed since then. The pictures I have made in my head have been transferred into real clothing and I could not be happier.
Suddenly sleeping seemed like a waste of time, eating an inconvenience and thinking about everyday life was just so ‘boring’

Bo Carter Boutique has been open in June 2010 and we very proud not to use leather, fur or child labour. We vale our ethics and we proudly stand by them. We have been recognized by PETA and Bo has been named The Most New Talented New Designer in 2013.
