Hi Pieter, basically I design tartans fo give countries an international brand but which are also used to generate funding for 'good causes'. I have them woven and made into 20+ products and have now moved into the world of fashion I have designs for 16 of the 32 competing nations and my agents and I are planning a fashion show during the World Cup in Cape Town this summer. If you drop me a line at davidmcgill61@yahoo.co.uk or leave me an email address I'll send you details. I cant find an address at www.bewilde.com

Hi Pieter, thanks for a very inspiring story. I designed a South Africa tartan which my agents have had woven in Worcester recently. I know that it has also been woven in poly/wool for use in luggage. Perhaps its something you could use to create a unique range of handbags. I understand that Helen Zille will be wearing a South Africa tartan gown to open Parliament in February.
