Excellent,
I am going to London at the end of the month and am hooking up with some of my Fashioning the Future Summit '08 connections. One of the student designers received a grant to have her line produced in Africa....and she did. This is all good news because in 3 point sustainability it is social justice, economic sustainability and ecological balance.
In order to really change the outcome at this point in time our fundamental "one ness" has to get more airtime!
I will check out your fabrics as i am right now answering a call for a show here in Seattle and am all about name dropping to help ethical entrepreneurs; especially the artsy ones!

Hi David, I just sent you an email to your yahoo address with some photos of past work. I decided not to include pictures on this site for now as I am designing new things and past work has not been produced according to sustainable principles unfortunately. It will all change as I am determined to never work for someone or a company that isn't concerned with ethical practises. - chat soon Bella

Hi David,

thanks for your message yesterday, yes I'm open to chatting about different opportunities. I'm focusing on getting my accessories business going but would be open to smaller projects here and there. Do you have a project in mind? I have mainly leather background, men's women's accessories but have designed a lot of prints and soft accessories over the last few years - I'm trying to figure out how to upload stuff so people can see what I have designed until now but still figuring it out. Let me know if there is a good way to send pics etc - Bella

Our show isn't until the 7th July - so we still have a month or so to go on this one! Your project sounds really interesting - do you have any advice for us?

Hi David,

That's really interesting. I've got a meeting over lunch but perhaps I can give you a call this afternoon so I can tell a little more about what I'm up to and discuss further? Can I use the mobile number from your site? Thanks, H

Hi David,

Thanks for the message. At the moment I'm not designing/ printing my own fabrics, however as a development it is certainly something that I'm looking to do. Your tartan projects sound really interesting, would love to find out some more.
Thanks,
Hugo

Hi David, many thanks for your message. The idea of a tartan specific to a country is very interesting, would like to hear more about how this idea came about and how you are working to produce each tartan its associated country- thats very inspired! Also, why tartan? My research is in its formative stages, would be great to be in touch. All the best, Phyllida

Hi David, thanks for your message. I'm mainly interested in plain woven fabrics (cotton, silk and wool), do you supply those too? Or just tartans? Thanks, Emesha

hi david!
so basically im analizing a bunch of brands, focused on how producing with organic cotton or any kind of organic / natural material impacts on the whole value chain, starting from relationships with suppliers up to marketing and distribution.
my final goal is to determine wether this new ethical trend (can we say its just a trend? or something is really changing?) will lead companies toward a new source of competitive advantage or not.
if youre interested in it or just have some material i might use, please let me know!
thanks, silvia
