Lisa Snowdon chooses Fairtrade gold for her Harriet Kelsall bespoke jewellery

Recently, I was delighted to be asked to design and make some bespoke jewellery for DJ, Model and Presenter Lisa Snowdon.  I was even more thrilled when she chose to have her pendant made from Fairtrade Gold.

When I explained about there being a Faitrade gold option now, and what this menat, Lisa was keen to learn more and then quickly chose for her piece to be made from this important 18ct Fairtrade and Fairmined gold.

Lisa wanted a bespoke pendant to wear all of the time and it was made to celebrate her big birthday later on this month.  It holds a stunning laser cut garnet in the centre because this is the birthstone for January.  The cut of the stone is very unusual and hypnotically draws you into the centre which fits well with the rest of the design idea.  The design represents part of the Aum or Om symbol and you can read more about on our blog.

She is delighted with the piece and even treated a few of us to a very posh tea at the May Fair hotel to say thank you!  She is so stunningly beautiful that it almost takes your breath away when you meet her, and she is wonderfully unpretentious and friendly - in fact, a joy to work with.

I am currentnly thinking about designs for a couple of other projects that she has asked about and hope to continue to work with her more in the future.
