Designers are educated with the theory and techniques to enable them to create desirable sustainable clothing via zero-waste, up-cycling and reconstruction sustainable design techniques.</span></p>

<p><span class="font-size-2">The 2014/15 competition cycle is open to fashion designers with less than three years’ professional experience and fashion design students living in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, UK, France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark. One finalist from each of the ten regions will be selected to present their sustainable collection at Hong Kong Fashion Week in mid January 2015 to compete for career-changing prizes.</span></p>

The fluid and soft shapes of the garments compliment this to create an elegant aesthetic. The brand is both environmentally and socially ethical – using fabric that will cause minimal damage and sowing back into impoverished communities.</p>

<p class="p5"><strong>TENCEL</strong></p>
<p class="p5">The majority of INHEELS S/S14 collection is made from Tencel, which is both eco-friendly an economical. 100% of the solvents used in its production process are recycled and manufacturing it requires less dye, energy and water than manufacturing cotton. The trees used in the production of Tencel are pesticide free. The pulp used is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and produces the best quality fiber with the smallest volume of waste compared to other plants.</p>

<p class="p5">The soft, durable and absorbent qualities of Tencel make it ideal for comfortable clothing and fit perfectly with INHEELS’ eco-friendly ethos.</p>

<p class="p5"><strong>PRODUCERS AND PROJECTS </strong></p>
<p class="p5">INHEELS takes a completely different approach to production. The production process is Fairtrade and the brand ensures that working conditions are adequate, constantly monitoring their Nepal based producers to see what improvements can be made. They receive a good wage and are known personally by INHEELS’ founders who have visited their producer bases to ensure fair treatment and to establish positive relationships between the workers and the brand. The profit from the factory owned by Folk Nepal is sewn into charitable causes in Nepal’s Khotang District. One is a small village dental clinic, which employs locals and another is a primary school educating young people in the region. INHEELS makes up 50% of Folk Nepal’s profit from external markets.</p>

<p class="p5">INHEELS goes beyond simply working with Fairtrade certified companies, as to obtain the Fairtrade label requires both funding and resource. The brand works with their producer groups to help lift their communities out of poverty. The Rajasthan Leather Company, for example, sees a village once named the poorest in India using their tannery skills to produce leather for INHEELS. Mahaguthi is another of INHEELS producers who aid destitute women, training them in sewing, weaving and literacy.</p>

<p class="p5"><strong>ABOVE AND BEYOND</strong></p>
<p class="p5">This commitment to ethical fashion extends beyond the projects and producers INHEELS work with and is displayed in their support of other campaigns. Recently, for example, the brand donated clothes to a charity auction raising funds for the victims and families of those involved in 2013’s Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh. The event was held to commemorate the year anniversary of the disaster.</p>

<p class="p1">Based in the Indonesian city Salatiga, with a workshop overlooked by an active volcano, they have a skilled team of craftsmen who produce all of their products by hand. </p>
<p class="p1">Paguro has recently brought the brand to the UK and, together with their partners in the Netherlands, they are looking to spread the products throughout Europe. Paguro is rebranding the products as part of theirs and, therefore, they're in need of an exceptional design for a new logo.</p>

Online shoppers will find exclusive collaborations with various international designers.<br/><br/>The secret ingredient to this already exclusive website is that Fashion ComPassion provides a global platform to brands that employ marginalized communities and skilled artisans from all over the world under the direct tutelage of some of the finest designers.<br/><br/>Fashion ComPassion believes that transparency & sustainability in fashion is the future; respecting this value the new brand is partnering with the United Nations WFP.
