About me / About business or organisation:

Drawn by the urge to make an ethical fashion company, cocccon UG was founded in 2012 by Hagen,Germany based Fashion designer Chandra Prakash Jha.He is a qualified designers from National institute of fashion technology, New Delhi.
After spending almost a decade in Indian and International fashion market, he decided to pay attention to his own native state Jharkhand, where economic and social development is far away from reality. Most of the people live in extreme poverty.

The biggest tyranny is, Jharkhand is the biggest place for silk worm cultivation,thier cocoons are world famous.But most of the people who are involved in cocoon cultivation,hardly have any idea about it´s worth.
To involve the local community in order to create an economic perspective,Chandra Prakash started to work with Locals in Jhrkhand on the biological and non-cruel process to grow and cultivate silk worm without using any kind of pesticide,fungicide or genetic spray. Organic silks are GOTS certified.
Apart from its own label,Cocccon UG provies small and medium enterprises & Designers, an eco-friendly and sustainable Production faclilities to produce their own collection at its Infrastructure in India under Fair condition

Cocccon UG launched its first collection of Organic Silk garments and fabrics at Greenshowroom during Berlin fashion week in july 2012.
