About me / About business or organisation:
Christine Macaulay; freelance designer, occasional illustrator and one half of an obscenely talented styling duo. Colour, print and detail are key to Christine's work gaining inspiration from art, music, travel and collecting vintage/ traditional clothing and textiles. Christine believes garment design and construction should make the wearer smile!
Career history / Company history:
Currently designing young ladies casual wear for a couple of high-street/ online stores. Previous freelance projects include designing a capsule collection for ladies wear boutique Emma Somerset (www.emmasomerset.co.uk). Christine will also be providing prints for the 'I Don't Like Mondays' (www.idontlikemondays.us) debut range alongside Cassette Playa, Imitation Of Christ, Micheal & Hushi, Pleasure Principle and Kenzo Minami.
Christine previously designed women's casual wear for River Island, LONDON (www.riverisland.com),
Christine started her arduous adventures working alongside the design team at French Connection LONDON (www.frenchconnection.com) developing the Spring/ Summer 2005 collection.

The following January, Christine worked as assistant stylist to Bonita Bryg. Bryg is best known for styling major international pop acts such as Take That, Lulu, as well as Pop Idol and spectacular theatre productions such as; Burn The Floor and On Eagle's Wing. Over the following six months the intrepid duo styled the entire cast of new musical, Love Shack, following through from initial castings to sell out tour. In July 2005, christine took on her most demanding role yet- moving to New York on a temporary basis to work with designer, Maria Cornejo. Working closely together, christine assisted with Cornejo's label ZERO (http://www.zeromariacornejo.com).
