About me / About business or organisation:

I'm a Fashion Technology student at Heriot Watt University School of Textiles in Galashiels, currently in the middle of my honours year.
I have experience working in industry after a year's placement to get a Diploma in Industrial Training.

I've dreamed of being a clothing designer ever since I was 11 years old and made tissue dresses for my Barbies!

In recent years I have taken a huge interest in ethical fashion as I feel it is an area in the industry that could do with a lot of improvement.
For my honours project I am researching recyclable fashion and eco-fashion.

Career history / Company history:

I've worked as a designer in a boutique for a year as part of my Diploma in Industrial Training, including spending a lot of the time doing upcycling vintage clothing.

Whilst I may not have graduated yet (due June 2012), I have a lot of experience in the industry down to measuring for alterations at a tailors and being a seamstress at various companies.
