Sam Budgen is the creator of Grandma Chic, an ethical fashion label that produces handmade and hand knitted pieces alongside upcycled vintage items, with a nod towards fashions of the inter-war years. Grandma Chic designs are a fresh approach to fashion using reclaimed materials ranging from cotton t-shirts to cashmere jumpers in an interesting and thoughtful way. Passionate about producing clothes that are easy to wear and kind to the environment, you will want to cherish Grandma Chic’s collections for years to come.

Career history / Company history:

July – October 2010 – Internship with ethical fashion brand From Somewhere, constructing and designing sample garments.
June – July 2009 – Work placement at Nixie Clothing – sustainable childrenswear company.
