About me / About business or organisation:: Gemma Seager is the face behind Retro Chick.

She has a degree in Media and Film Studies from Winchester University and has a varied career background including stints in Nursing, jobs in retail, customer services, IT and various administrative and managerial positions in offices that don’t bear thinking about.

She loves writing, taking photographs, and sharing her very strong opinions with anyone who’ll listen. She’s loved dressing up ever since she got into fights at play school over who was going to wear the Princess outfit and always knew that one day she would find a way to combine all these things into a job. If you can call it that.

Career history / Company history:: Retro Chick spent many many years being miserable that she had to go to work in a boring office and couldn’t spend enough time with all her lovely clothes.

Then one day in 2007 a wicked witch pushed her just too far and she decided to leave the Corporate Castle behind and share her love of pretty clothes with the world in her shop.

Retro Chick helps you discover your own personal style by finding the best in affordable vintage, and ethical fashion and making it work everyday. Looking at seasonal trends, fashion & lifestyle events and issues that affect the way we live our lives.

All our goods are designed in Britain, but produced in India, specifically West Bengal, using an IFAT registered manufacturer, locally sourced, natural materials, traditional production methods and environmentally friendly dyes etc.
