About me / About business or organisation:

Currently producing work under the logo Future Headspace, I am predominately an Arts Manager with an arts practice spanning drawing, painting, sculpture and graphic design. Working in various arts education institutions, both in the UK and Canada, my experience covers a wide range of disciplines and I create projects that foster the cross-pollination of ideas, techniques and teaching strategies between the different specializations. With nearly 10 years experience managing arts education programs, curriculum development for delivery to both children and adults, and community arts projects, my work brings a unique focus on the ecology of play and the creative process. Recent projects in Vancouver and Cambodia have also included the activation of disused spaces for community arts as an element of their delivery.

Future Headspace is an experiment in the commercialization of identity and its impact on the perceptions of reality in regards to how they are portrayed traditionally in the West. The work playfully mimics esoteric symbolism in an effort to create surreal narratives that expose the fragility of meaning and undermine the hierarchies that subjugate creative thought.
